Title: Calcification analysis on the mammogram. Calcifications in the major ducts. Part I
Subtitle: Radiologic-histopathologic correlation describing the formation of the calcifications.

This lecture provides a logical and efficient approach to analysis of calcifications detected on the mammograms. Following a didactic and  helpful description of the steps needed to arrive at the correct diagnosis, detailed analysis of the calcifications developing in the major ducts will follow. About 20% of all breast cancers develop within the major lactiferous ducts. They usually represent an aggressive, Grade 3 malignant process. The unpredictable outcome of these cases will be explained in this lecture series by introducing the theory of neoductgenesis.
